So the "friendboy*" and I have been busy with planning for his parent's 30th Anniversary party which is this Saturday. It's actually today (Happy Anniversary Mr. & Mrs. Y!!!). And all I've been doing is obsessing about different recipes for appetizers and sides (we've got the main courses down!) and looking at cute and "different" ideas. Let me tell you, party planning can be quite tedious! From the overall look, to the small details, to the food you serve, and "Places everyone! Places!!" (can you guess where that quote is from?). Execution is quite important! Especially for me... because I can be picky like that (all my own fault that I stress over small details). I can be all about presentation but spread myself too thin where execution can be compromised :( Luckily the friendboy is awesome at execution. Phew!
Anyway, I came across this awesome recipe for egg custard served in egg shells!! Just wanted to share this with you because I thought it was absolutely fabulous!
*Friendboy - It's a term that my parent's came up with. Back in high school, I had a boyfriend but was too shy to tell my parents that. And parent's are NOT dumb. They knew. They knew exactly who he was and what he was to me. So to beat around the bush about his 'relationship' with me (and also to tease me about it), they just referred to him as my 'friendboy'. So it's stuck with me... and I call Mr. K my 'friendboy.' He is perfectly fine being called just that. :)
