Milestone Monday :: den.m bar Fitting

Guess what?! I've reached a blogger milestone! This is the 100th post I've written! Kind of hard to believe that I actually have that many posts under my belt. Feels like I have maybe 20. But 100?! I'm still soaking up that thought!

Of course I want to share with you my own personal experience at den.m bar.

111 West 7th Street, R3, Los Angeles, CA 90014

Saturdays are REALLY busy for den.m bar so it's always best to make an appointment... instead of just "walk in" like I did. I did some waiting until Zach, the person who would be measuring me, was free. So, I had to entertain myself.

It was my turn and Zach need to measure my waist.

Next, my hips. If there's one thing I've been insecure about, it's my hips/thighs. I've always felt that I am un-proportionate because I've got "big hips" compared to my actual waist. Maybe it doesn't seem like it to some but, to me, I've dealt with this for a very long time. I'm a lot better about it now but having to lift my shirt to let Zach measure my hips was a bit uncomfortable for me... especially with my "photographer" snapping photos a few feet away.

And of course, there's measuring the length of the pant leg.

We also need to measure both the inseam and also the and the calf area and there is also one other measurement that I do not have photographed which is the crotch area.

I've selected the Skinny Straight style because though I like the skinny jean snug fit, I like for the pant chute opening to be just a tiny bit wider to get in and out of comfortably. After all my measurements are collected, they make your jeans but leave certain areas, such as the waistline/band, unfinished, for a final fitting before completion. So, I will have to go back in one more time for that before I can wear them in my next post.

And what's nice about den.m bar (that I actually did not know before) is that once your measurements have been taken, they store that information and have your pattern on file for future orders. It's a lot easier the next time 'round. Unless you lose weight or suddenly get a lot taller ;) then you might need to go back in again. And if you haven't noticed, for my readers, den.m bar is offering 10% off your order when you mention "An Eye For Fashion". Some items are now available online (such as accessories)!

Thanks for all your support over the last few months to a year in reading my posts. Thanks to those special people who have helped me get this far. You know who you are. And for those of you who don't, I'll link you!

  9. Yes! I agree! Sometimes people have a difficult time finding something that works for them... this gives them the chance to have something that is truly FOR them. And it's a fun process too!
