Hi All! I've been kind of out of the social media world a bit. As you may have read in the last post, it has been a little chaotic with all the various things going on!
To be honest, I have been caught up with all the things going on in my head! "I'm gaining weight! I need to work out... Yes, I'm gonna work out. *sigh* but I'm so tired... ehhh, I'll just go home after work. My pants don't fit the same anymore. I need to work out." And the cycle continues.
Another thought crossing my mind: "I should go back to school. It's really just expensive networking. Ugh, I hate networking. I'm so bad at it. I never know what to talk about. But school would be good. Oh, it's too expensive. Maybe I won't. But I should...."
Anyone else going similar things?
I was talking to a girlfriend who JUST went back to school herself. We both always said, "School is not for us. We're never going back!" We both thought we were done after our bachelor's degree! But with the way things have been with the job market and just the way the economy has been and just... growth in people, I've realized how important it is to stay on top of everything. To stay sharp. I've also realized, after my talk, that really, I'm just insecure and need to work on my own confidence, which means networking and small talking... even if it means doing it while back in school.
I'm still sitting on the fence. There are so many other things happening in my life right now and I really just need to focus on myself. And learning to be comfortable with who I am. Confession. I am not comfortable wearing dresses (not all the time anyway) and shorts because I've always felt insecure about the way my belly/thighs looked in them (especially with all these cute petite bloggers out there!). I think I need to work with that first... and move on from there.
What do you think? Are there insecurities that you deal with? If so, what?

Wishful Wednesday :: Dorothy Perkins
I swear she popped out of no where! I did start to see some of her items trickling into the blogosphere but then this week, BAM! Everyone is talking about Dorothy Perkins!
So I took a gander at some items that I thought were nice picks. Some you may have seen already but too bad, this is my blog, and I shall talk about what I wish.
You may have seen this one featured on Atlantic Pacific. She's got great style and great choice in dresses!
Love polka dots. Always have, always will.
I need to find more simple black dresses or dresses similar to this style. They make for great after work, dinner wear as well as... work wear.
Cute dress but I think I need a darker color!
Love the bead detailing on the skirt of this dress.
I'm a sucker for blazers. Especially in colors like this!
This could be interesting. I kind of like it but am dying to pair it with some solids/neutrals of some sort.
This looks like it could be slimming and nice enough to wear to work or for a special occasion.
Has anyone else tried ordering from here except for Extra Petite [DP review post]? I know she mentioned that the quality is similar to ASOS however, for those of you who have ordered from ASOS, you must be familiar with their free shipping and free returns policy. With Dorothy Perkins, I believe Jean of Extra Petite said she had to pay out of pocket to return her items. AND, there is no free shipping like ASOS. I believe IF there is, you must have a minimum order.
Let me know if you find anything great! Happy Hump Day!

Pretty Pleated Please?
I lately have been obsessed with pleated/accordion skirts. Especially in black or nude chiffon. I love how Jean from Extra Petite wears the skirt with a nice floral ruffley top. It's a nice and refreshing look overall. Especially for Summer. It's a very cool and relaxed look without the typical shorts and a tank beach look.
You can find this pleated skirt at ASOS for $60. I haven't committed yet. Like the bargain shopper I am, I'm waiting for a coupon code or a price drop. The other perk about ASOS is free standard shipping with no minimum purchase! And free return shipping!
I did however find the perfect floppy sun hat for my Miami trip this weekend! I can't wait for it to come in! I hope it fits... otherwise, free shipping going back to ASOS!
