den.m bar Grand Opening - Downtown LA

There's a new custom denim shop in town and it's den.m bar! Grand opening last was a success in my opinion. There were quite a few people interested in the business concept and even purchased a pair of custom jeans last night!

Brigham Yen couldn't have written a better article. "We all know that LA is the denim capital of the world. What pair of premium denim isn’t from LA? Even so, LA’s vast land of denim just got a little hotter last night with the debut of Den.m Bar (during the Downtown LA Art Walk), a new retail concept now open in Downtown LA’s Historic Core."

Finally got to take some photos from last night's grand opening event. I was impressed by their product spiel & delivery. Here are some photos from last night:

Grand opening had a great turn out. Enjoyed the (short) time we had there. Check in on Foursquare! Oh! The owners let us know that they are extending the 50% off discount til the end of the week! Get your den.m on and go!

den.m bar - Bespoke Jeans

What is Bespoke?

It's a term that people use to describe products that are custom made. They are personalized and modified according to the customer's requirements, needs, and taste. I tend to think of how in the optical world, we make a pair of lenses that are custom made specifically for the patient. Everyone is different when it comes to their prescriptions and visual needs. Everyone is also different with their clothing needs too.

I have a couple of friends that are opening up a custom jean store. And when I say custom, it isn't just a pair of previous made jeans that get altered to your leg length or waistline. Or, an alterations/tailoring type setting. This is actually a legitimate store front where they have rolls of denim, premium denim, ready for measuring on the customer's body, and into a perfect pair of jeans for you! It's cool because they have a few different washes, different types of buttons to choose from, zipper styles, threading/stitching, and cuts!

How it Works:

This past weekend, I had a chance to visit the store front. I went a bit unprepared and only have a couple of camera phone photos and also some photos of their completed projects. More to come from their grand opening night!
